Controlling contractors or work that is not routine is a key aspect of any organisations Safe Systems of Work (SSoW). This is often seen as embedding their Permit to Work (PTW) system into corporate and local policies and procedures. Whilst this is a starting point – ensuring suitable controls are in place is underpinned by other fundamental elements and these should be reflected in your Control of Work System (CoW). The NCPM has availability on our IOSH approved three day, 4 module, Control of Work course, delivered at our state of the art training centre on the 6-8th July.
